Trial installation of a Portaloo, Gower Road –\u00a0During the first two weeks, the unit experienced frequent water shortages and was unable to accommodate peak usage times, with Council making the decision that the Portaloo was not fit for purpose due to the limited capacity of the water reservoir in relation to the number of users. It was agreed that the initial four-week trial period would not be extended, and the unit would be removed by the end of April.<\/p>\n
It was further acknowledged that all feasible alternatives had been considered over the past 18 months with no other viable solution, following Conwy County Borough Council decision to discontinue funding for public toilets due to budget constraints.<\/p>\n
